I love RetroPie, it is great on a Raspberry pi 3, and even on the pi zero it is rather impressive.
I am an avid Linux user and run Linux on every device I can, which leads into my real question.
I have a laptop that I want to run RetroPie on (portable, built in screen, keyboard, and mouse). the laptop has 8 gigs of Ram, and I tend to lean towards 64-bit OSes. Company of heroes game.
according to this link for setting up RetroPie on Ubuntu it is for the x86 architecture only.
but according to the release notes for RetroPie 4.1 many systems indicate 'x86 / x86_64 only'
since my desired install will be used as an everyday laptop, and not just a RetroPie system, the extra RAM comes into play when using virtualization for other tasks.
Does the setup on an existing 16.04 system support 64-bit? I tried it on a 64-bit system, and everything looks good, until you launch an emulator, then it goes blank and returns to emulation station.
